Coping with Test Anxiety: What you Need to Succeed

- Feel physical symptoms (e.g., upset stomach) as your exam time gets closer?
- "Freeze up" on exams?
- Get so distracted with your worry that you cannot focus on your test?
- Tend to remember answers as soon as you leave the test room?
It is perfectly natural to feel some anxiety when preparing for a test. However, too much anxiety can interfere with your learning and remembering, and you may have trouble showing what you know during a test.
This student and parent workshop will provide practical help for junior and senior high school students experiencing text anxiety.
In this workshop, participants will learn to:
- recognize the symptoms of test anxiety
- indentify the causes of test anxiety
- reduce test anxiety through relaxation, exam preparation, exam writing as well as lifestyle/nutrition strategies
