Cash, Cheque or Visa - Cash gifts provide an immediate benefit to the Calgary Learning Centre. You can direct your gift to a specific program at the Centre or let us place your gift in the area of greatest need. Either way, you will help the Centre fulfull its mission and you will receive a tax receipt.

 

Donation in...
Memory - Make a donation in memory of a loved one, friend or colleague and the Calgary Learning Centre will send a card on your behalf acknowledging your thoughtful donation. You will also receive a tax receipt for the full amount of your donation.
Celebration - Make a donation in honour of a loved one, friend or colleague in recognition of a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, personal or professional achievement, graduation, etc.). The Calgary Learning Centre will send a card on your behalf acknowledging your thoughtful donation. You will also receive a tax receipt for the full amount of your donation.

Partners in Learning Monthly Donation Program - Simply fill out and send in a completed Monthly Giving Donation Card and we will do the rest. Making a difference has never been so easy!

Corporate Matching - Make double the impact with your donation! Many corporations today have a matching gift program - a sign of the times that employee and employer are joining forces for the betterment of our community. Many employers will match dollar for dollar your donation to the Calgary Learning Centre; or will contribute to the Centre if you donate your time in one of our many programs. Check with your employer about matching gifts and watch your support double!

United Way Campaign - Another easy way to support the Calgary Learning Centre is by designating your donation through the United Way.
 

  1. Fill out the United Way Pledge Form with the following information (please specify the following information on your card to ensure we receive your directed donation):

  2. Fill out a Donor Choice Information Release Form and send it to the United Way with your pledge. This will ensure we properly recognize your generosity!

Pledges - Multi-year pledging can be an excellent way to make a more substantial gift over time rather than in one lump sum. Pledges are very flexible for the donor and can be made annually, semi-annually or even monthly. If done strategically, pledging can provide a great tax benefit to the donor.

The Calgary Learning Centre will issue an annual charitable tax receipt for payments made within each calendar year.

Gifts In-Kind - Gifts to the Calgary Learning Centre do not always have to come in the form of money. Gifts in-kind can be products and/or services. Examples of products include things from computer equipment to real estate. A tax receipt for the fair market value of the gift can be issued. In-kind services, however, cannot be issued a tax receipt.

Publicly Traded Securities - You may contribute gifts of stock and drastically reduce your capital gains. See how you can benefit! Federal legislation introduced in March 2006 makes this a very attractive donation vehicle.

Legacy Gifts - You can contribute to the long-term financial success of the Calgary Learning Centre by creating a legacy gift. A legacy gift, or planned gift, is the thoughtful process of planning a gift to produce the maximum benefit to the donor and the charity. There are many other vehicles through which a legacy gift may be made - wills and bequests, life insurance, charitable trust, endowments, etc. It is important to consult your financial planner, friends and family before you create a legacy gift.
